ECOLOGICAL SCIENCES DIRECTOR

Natalie Holt

Natalie leads W2r’s Ecological Sciences team, relying on her people-focused leadership style and diversity of experience in the utility, infrastructure, and river restoration industries. As an integral member of our planning and design projects, Natalie expertly curates strategies for permitting and mitigation, serving as a link between designers and regulators. She leads biological risk assessments and wetland delineations and supports a wide variety of environmental permitting efforts, including USACE Section 408 Applications, Joint Permit Applications, Clean Water Act compliance, Oregon Removal-Fill Law permitting, Washington Shoreline permitting, and local government development reviews. Some of Natalie’s notable projects have included leading USACE Section 408 compliance services for levee modification or FEMA Accreditation, obtaining special use permits for utility wildfire risk reduction, and securing state and federal permits for Stage 0/8 restoration projects.

COMMITMENT TO EQUITY

While work in the water and natural resources fields has been built around protecting and preserving nature, it has not always protected or accepted all people. Wolf Water Resources recognizes the exclusive history of engineering and environmentalism and we are diligently working towards more diverse collaborations. Diversifying our profession is a vital and on-going journey, and W2r commits to interviewing 100% of minority applicants and providing contacts and recommendations when we do not have an immediate employment opening. W2r also actively involves minority, woman, and veteran-owned firms on project work and in business operations.
