ENGINEER IN TRAINING
Lucas Evans, EIT
With a background in ecological engineering and sustainability, Lucas strives to understand the ecosystems in which he works, recognizing the importance of science in creating resilient restoration designs. As a water resources engineer in training, Lucas is involved in all phases of our project work—from the collection of field data, to performing technical calculations, to assisting in the development of restoration designs. Prior to joining the firm, Lucas worked throughout the Pacific Northwest including on three multi-million dollar estuary restoration projects on the Skagit, Stillaguamish, and Snohomish rivers in western Washington. Lucas has led the development of many complex 2D hydraulic models to assess tidal and fluvial processes, as well as prepared hydraulic reports and flood studies, technical specifications, engineering cost estimates, and designs for estuary and river restoration projects.
