WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER

Alex Morton, PE

Alex brings extensive experience guiding river restoration, floodplain enhancement, and fish passage projects from concept to construction. Having worked throughout the Pacific Northwest, and seeing many of his projects implemented, he has gained broad experience optimizing designs to meet specific habitat, hydrology, and hydraulic constraints, along with resource agency, infrastructure protection, and stakeholder objectives. He has helped farmers obtain water rights while protecting aquatic species, collaborated with watershed councils to find creative and cost effective solutions to replace aging in-stream infrastructure, and supported tribal communities in restoring various ecosystems throughout their lands.

Wolf Water Resources' team of specialists are actively engaged in the watershed science and engineering community. Together, we are pushing the conversation forward and advancing practices to make our natural systems more resilient. Contact us to learn more »

COMMITMENT TO EQUITY

While work in the water and natural resources fields has been built around protecting and preserving nature, it has not always protected or accepted all people. Wolf Water Resources recognizes the exclusive history of engineering and environmentalism and we are diligently working towards more diverse collaborations. Diversifying our profession is a vital and on-going journey, and W2r commits to interviewing 100% of minority applicants and providing contacts and recommendations when we do not have an immediate employment opening. W2r also actively involves minority, woman, and veteran-owned firms on project work and in business operations.
