GEOSPATIAL DIRECTOR

Alex McManus, PMP

As the challenges of the watershed science and river restoration fields evolve, Alex recognizes the role that technology serves in performing planning and design work more cost effectively and in improving restoration outcomes. He knows the importance not just of data, but in crafting it into meaningful formats for client-stakeholder understanding.

Alex leads W2r’s use of geospatial processing and visualization technologies, drawing from a diversity of experiences in the utility, engineering, and environmental consulting industries. Through this diverse experience and his people-focused leadership style he develops data collection methodologies, performs project analyses, contributes to design development, and manages projects. This includes a long history of leading projects to achieve salmon habitat uplift, water quality improvement, and climate change resiliency.

“Building relationships with people to address complex environmental challenges is such a rewarding part of developing solutions. Connecting people is at the center of what we do.”
