Stage 0 Channel Abiotic and Biotic Monitoring - Whychus Creek

In partnership with the University of Nottingham and the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council, W2r assisted with a large scale, on-going monitoring effort of three distinct sites: a control reach, a reach designed with Rosgen techniques, and another reach designed with Stage 0 methods.

The scale of each site required the use of a UAS and traditional survey techniques. For the Stage 0 reach, W2r provided a rich, UAS-derived suite of contiguous spatial datasets. Derivatives of the effort resulted in unique insights regarding geomorphic, ecological, and hydrologic patterns associated with Stage 0 projects.
